What it does

  • Audit: missing title blocks, empty number/title, duplicate sheet numbers (CRITICAL), tab order vs number order, numbering gaps.
  • Project-number drift, the classic one-sheet-from-another-job, flagged on the minority sheet; issue-date drift too.
  • Set a field: batch-write issue date, revision or project number across every sheet, then re-audit in the same run.

Good to know

  • Attributes map through per-firm tag lists, edit once to match your border and they stick.
  • Prefix families (C-… vs LS-…) are sequenced separately. Full sheet-grid CSV.
  • Ribbon: VDC Sheets → Sheets → Title Block QC.

When to use it

  • Before issue - duplicate sheet numbers and a stale issue date are the classic set errors.
  • After a project rename or a re-issue, to push one date or revision across forty layouts.

How to run it

  1. Run VDCTITLEQC; confirm the block name pattern and the tag lists match your border.
  2. Audit: review the palette and the sheet-grid CSV (layout / number / title / date / rev / project).
  3. Set a field: choose issue date, revision or project number, type the value, apply - it re-audits after.

Options

  • Tag lists: first existing tag wins; TITLE/TITLE2/TITLE3 concatenate. Edit once, they stick.
  • Block pattern: default * - the insert with the most attributes on each layout wins.

Watch out for

  • Project-number drift flags the MINORITY sheet - the one sheet copied in from another job.
  • Prefix families (C-... vs LS-...) are sequenced separately, so a landscape set does not report gaps against the civil numbering.
  • The batch write touches the mapped attribute only - it will not invent a tag your border lacks.
